HEARTBEAT — 2006 J/124
Newport Beach, California
Heartbeat is an exceptionally well-campaigned example of the J/124 — Rod Johnstone's acclaimed 40-foot weekender-racer, built in 2006 during the model's final production years. Homeported in Newport Beach and actively raced across the Southern California offshore and inshore circuit, she presents a rare opportunity to acquire a performance-focused J/124 with a proven, documented racing background from one of the most vibrant sailing communities on the West Coast.

Racing Background
Heartbeat has been actively campaigned on the Southern California racing circuit, with confirmed starts in prestigious regional events including the Newport to Dana Point Race — a competitive inshore offshore sprint drawing strong PHRF fleets from across the region. She represents a genuine, well-maintained racing programme homeported at Newport Beach.

Full race history, results, and supporting documentation are available to serious enquiries.

About the J/124
Produced by J/Boats from 2002 to 2007, the J/124 is widely regarded as one of the most elegant 40-foot daysailer-racers ever built. Praised by Cruising World as a "technically advanced boat" with rewarding sailing characteristics, the model's combination of a Hall Spars carbon rig, lightweight composite construction, and low centre of gravity delivers a sail area-to-displacement ratio of 22 — firmly in performance territory. Only a limited number of hulls were produced, making well-maintained examples increasingly sought-after.
