Matt is originally from Northern Virginia, where he grew up enjoying the outdoors and a growing passion for working on classic cars. He’s been a resident of Wilmington, North Carolina, for over 19 years, and working in the Marine Industry for the past 18 years. Matt brings a wealth of local boating knowledge and a deep Service Department Management resume that includes a long tenure with one of the largest maritime service companies in the Mid-Atlantic area.  

During his free time, Matt enjoys being out on the water with his wife Holly and their dog Vader. When he’s not on the water, you’ll find Matt still pursuing his childhood passion of working on classic cars with his dad. Matt works out of our Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington locations, where he’s more than happy to share more about our offerings from Axopar and BRABUS.

Paul brings a lifetime of both boating and mechanical experience to Jeff Brown Yachts. Growing up near a Lake in rural Connecticut, he learned to sail when he was 8. As a child, he would take everything apart to see how it worked; he built his own small boat when he was only 14.  

As a Navy veteran and a USCG licensed Captain of over 35 years, Paul has truly spent most of his life on or around boats. He has been managing the commissioning, warranty, and service of yachts for the last 32 years. He also began his own company in 1998, Fecteau Yacht Inc, creating water makers, UV purifiers and water softeners for the boating industry as a small side business to give boaters high quality, but affordably priced water products.

Paul and his wife, Nancy, have three grown children, and when he has free time, he loves to ride his motorcycle, work around his hobby farm, or go boating.

Upon retiring after a 20 year career as an Air Traffic Controller in the United States Marine Corps, Jeff chose to follow his passion which is boats.

Founder and Past President of JK3 Nautical Enterprises, Jeff also previously owned J/World Performance Sailing School and was the President of J/Boats Asia and J/World Asia.

Jeff has developed and led the building of several one design classes throughout Southern California and Hawaii; in addition to participating in offshore and local racing, he has been the chairman of multiple offshore and local regattas at San Diego Yacht Club.

He has been active in past America’s Cup regattas and the America’s Cup World Series and served on the Board of Directors of San Diego Yacht Club and SEA San Diego.

Sailing in many of the great ocean races in Southern California, the Mediterranean, the South Pacific and the Caribbean, Jeff enjoys sharing his passion with his family and friends, and has been blessed to sail all over the world with his wife Karen and their children, Konner & Kassidy.

Dreams do come true and the childhood wish to be Julie, the Cruise Director on The Love Boat is not too far from reality.

Life has brought all things nautical into Karen’s world and she has enjoyed every aspect of being involved with boats, from managing an office at a yacht club (where she met Jeff and sailed against him in the Wednesday Night Races), to working on the America’s Cup Team of BMW Oracle Racing, to being an owner of JK3.

Adventures with her family sailing on “love boats” around the world have been incredible and it is a joy to see others having those kind of experiences and playing a little part in it.

The most satisfying element of our business has been getting to know clients as we have designed interiors, and then continuing those relationships and sharing great memories on and off the water.

Will grew up on the South Coast of England, UK. Spending his weekends and summers out on the water, it wasn't long before Will started studying for his commercial captain’s license during his late teens. 

Starting his maritime career supporting the operations of an international powerboat racing series, Will skippered both the safety and VIP/Media boats in venues around the UK. Will then joined the largest charter company in the UK and continued to skipper a myriad of vessels in various roles. From private charters, VIP/Corporate days, to military support, commercial subsea cable installations, dive support and offshore crew transfers.  

Sometimes spending weeks at a time working away in the North Sea, Will soon realized that a more land-based approach was the way forward for him and his young family. With his wife's family in Southern California, and the strong and abundant boating community in Newport Beach, it made making the move across the pond a reality. 

Will joins Jeff Brown Yachts Newport Beach office and marina sales team, as well as managing operations of Mari~Time, an innovative shared path to yacht ownership. 

Andy Witherspoon brings his deep waterman and boating experience to Jeff Brown Yachts. 

A San Rafael, California native and alumni of UC Santa Barbara, Andy has spent most of his life on or near the sea. As a Senior Boat Captain and PADI Dive Instructor, he has operated and maintained vessels for Kukio Development on the island of Hawaii, numerous private yachts, and two luxury 60’ Ron Given Catamarans based in Viaduct Harbor, Auckland, New Zealand. Andy is as comfortable running a 60’ power cat as he is handling a large sailboat in Hawaii’s demanding conditions. A real “people person”, Andy takes tremendous pride in making sure owners feel comfortable and safe, while creating a lifetime of enjoyable boating memories. His vast local knowledge and deep boating resume is an invaluable asset for our Hawaii and West Coast customers. 

Pete McCormick, a familiar face on the West Coast racing scene started sailing dinghies at the age of 8.  Over the years his passion for the water continued as he spent more time sailing on the San Francisco Bay. As a teenager he progressed to cruising boats and then larger race boats, and at the age of 15 Pete competed in his first Rolex Big Boat series. 

In 1994 while attending the University of Oregon Pete joined North Sails, the World Wide leader in sail making technology. As soon as Pete graduated in 1998 he took the natural next step with North and joined their team as a partner in North Sails San Francisco.

Pairing his clients with the perfect sail inventory was an early gift that Pete developed while racing professionally, and project managing a number of Grand-Prix racing programs internationally. Pete’s career spans 28 Rolex Big Boat Series, 60,000 offshore racing miles, and countless wins in One Design, Handicap, and Offshore events all over the world.

When not on the water Pete enjoys spending quality time with his wife Lucy and his son Jack.

Wayne grew up in Northern California where he developed his passion for boating on lakes Sonoma, Berryessa, Folsom, Orville, and Bodega Bay. By age 13 he was driving the family boat, at 15 he was putting the trailer in the water, and by 16 taking his dad's truck with the boat in tow on his own adventures. Wayne’s water legs turned into wings as an Air Force crewman aboard helicopters—that included extensive water survival training—and completing his 10-years of service as a jet mechanic.  

A San Diego resident since 2013, Wayne has worked in hospitality for companies that include Ketch Restaurant on Shelter Island. Wayne has combined his love for boating, deep mechanical knowledge, waterman skills, and customer service experience into his ideal job, helping folks find their perfect boat.  

When Wayne is not deep in the technical manuals of our new Axopar and BRABUS boats, you can find him on the water, cruising the bay, or charging to his favorite fishing spots near the Coronado Islands.

A native of Wilmington, I have always loved life on the Carolina coast. Before joining Jeff Brown Yachts, I spent over 25 years in the automotive service industry, owning two successful businesses. I bring that same strong work ethic, authenticity, and positive attitude to my work today, and I strive to make every professional interaction an enjoyable experience.

While attending the International Boat Show in Düsseldorf, Germany, in 2020, I was so impressed by the Axopar and BRABUS Marine brands that I eagerly joined the Jeff Brown Yachts team. After initially growing our Wrightsville Beach office, I relocated to open our newest location in Charleston. It has been a pleasure getting to know and working with this vibrant boating community. In my free time, I enjoy cruising the harbor with my wife, working on our 53' Ford F150, grilling, doing DIY projects and spending time with our English Labs.

As a Veteran of Navy Special Operations, serving amongst the best in the nation, Ryan Anderson brings his passion, vast experiences, and unwavering drive to the newest chapter in his boating life. Ryan’s 28-year Navy career started on a nuclear fast attack submarine and into the Navy Special Operations Community where he served as a Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal Operator at one of our country's most elite units. His Naval career fueled his lifelong passion for the water where he became a certified Navy Diver, Military Free Fall Parachutist, and an expert in maritime under sea operations. After retiring from the Navy, Ryan obtained his US Coast Guard Captain’s Credential where he often helps new and seasoned boat owners with on the water training and enhancing their boating experiences. A Coronado resident, Ryan spends his free time on the water with his wife and two children—often cheering on his daughter, an aspiring competitive sailor with the Coronado and San Diego Yacht Clubs. Ryan’s infectious passion and unwavering devotion will bring great value to those that he serves. “Many of my greatest memories come from being on the water with family and friends. I look forward to showing others how they can create their own special moments.”
